The European Union Depository Collection was opened in the Library of the Hungarian Parliament on 29 January 2001. Located in the mezzanine of the Reading Room are EU publications in thirty thematic groups, as well as reference books in Hungarian, English, German and French from the library’s holdings. The documents available electronically are being constantly augmented. The EU provides full-text access free of charge.

The official website of the European Union contains all the information on how the EU works. The website provides the latest EU news, institutional documents and freely accessible databases.

• Europeana, the European Digital Library, which is the European Union’s multimedia electronic library, has been available to cultural enthusiasts since December 2008. It is a common search interface for digitalised images and texts as well as audio and video footage in European cultural collections.
• The e-document document European Union in Hungary contains the institutions, networks, offices, official representations, information and advisory services operating in Hungary providing EU-related information.
• Charterpedia provides official interpretation relating to each article of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, along with European and international case law, issues pertaining to the constitutional law and international law of member states as well as scientific analyses and publications by the FRA.
• CORDIS – is the database of the Research and Development Information Service and contains invitations to tender.
• Curia – contains judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
• data.europa.eu – is the official portal for European data.
• EUBookshop – contains publications by EU institutions.
• EURES – the European Employment Services, helps people find employment beyond the borders of their countries. It provides information, guidance and advice to jobseekers on job opportunities in the European Economic Area and helps employers who want to employ workers from other countries.
• EUR-LEX – contains the effective material of European Union law, treaties, international agreements, COM and EFTA documents.
• Eurobarometer – contains opinion polls conducted by the European Commission.
• EUROSTAT – is the database of the Statistical Office of the European Union.
• Find-eR – is the catalogue of the European Commission libraries.
• IATE – is the EU’s terminology database.
• N-LEX – provides access to the national law databases of the EU member states.
• OEIL – is a database for monitoring the EU decision-making process.
• Pre-Lex – monitors the important stages in the decision-making process between the European Commission and its institutions.
• SCADPLUS – contains summaries of EU legislation.
• TED – publishes public procurement notices.
