How to use PDF documents

Search and navigation in PDF-documents downloaded from our digital collections

In order to open our digitized documents, you will need a PDF-viewer functionality in your browser. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox normally auto-download the appropriate PDF-extension, but if you use Internet Explorer, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. The software is available for free download at the provider's website.

Computers placed in the territory of the library are fully equipped with all the softwares and extensions indispensable for online PDF-use in the most wide-spread browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer), however PDF extensions of the various browsers display the functionalities of the PDF-reader somewhat differently, including full-text search and content navigation.
