The political dialogue between the European Commission and the Hungarian National Assembly also includes direct visits and exchange of views. Since 2014 the European Commission has put special emphasis on the improvement of relations with national Parliaments. It follows that visits of Commissioners have taken place regularly in the Hungarian National Assembly. The Commissioners or other representatives of the European Commission are hosted by the Committee on European Affairs solely or – depending on the subject-matter of the discussions – with other standing committees.
